Do the tags measure moisture?
No. They open your plant’s page. You check the soil; Tipu helps you decide what to do and records your care.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Tipu runs in your mobile browser. Add it to your home screen for an app-like experience. Reminder support depends on your phone and permissions.
How do reminders reach my phone?
Open Reminders in Tipu and enable notifications. On iPhone, first add Tipu to your Home Screen and open it from that icon (iOS 16.4 or later). You can also choose email reminders. One daily summary is sent when soil checks are due; check the soil before watering. Delivery depends on connectivity and your phone settings.
Will NFC work with my phone?
Compatible NFC phones can open a tag’s web link. We’ll test a range of iPhones and Android phones before the tags go on sale. Every tag also has a QR fallback.
Can I use Tipu without buying tags?
Yes. Tags make it easier to reach the right plant; the app and care plan also work on their own.
What can a sitter see?
Only the plant names, locations, care instructions and relevant care status for their visit. No owner email, billing, account controls or private photo journal.
When can I buy it?
We’re preparing the first local tag kits. Final stock, delivery timing and finished tag designs are still to be confirmed.
